This was a series that I made for my concept illustration class during my time in the Media and Communication Arts program at Macomb Community College. The goal of this series was to develop four mailers that for a studio we create. The nature of these mailers is to carry an aspect of the studio’s concept. The name I gave to my studio was Tall-Tale Illustrations and the words I had chosen in the end were Seek, Imprint, Pursue, and Record. My goal was to use film noir archetypes as characters in the unraveling of a story, each piece being able to stand alone but also being able to connect the dots when they all come together. I also used art deco elements to make the borders of each piece to create a cinematic feeling in each of them.
